Lewis County Historical Ride, May 11

Here’s a good ride to see some country and get great training for the STP or other long rides you’re planning for summer.

This Saturday, May 11, the Chehalis-Centralia Optimist Club is hosting its 31st annual Lewis County Historical Ride.

  • Four routes, from 20 to 100 miles
  • Country and small town sights
  • Mountain view of three volcanoes: Rainier, St. Helens, and Adams
  • History! (f course): the two-room Evaline School and historic Claquato Church

The ride begins and ends at Stan Hedwall Park on Rice Road in Chehalis, just west of I-5 at Exit 76 (Parkland Drive/13th Street).

When you’re done riding, take one last history stop: Head into Chehalis for a cold one at the brewery in the historic Olympic Club, one of McMenamin’s fun restorations.
